Welcome to my portfolio! I'm Elena.

As a Junior user researcher with a background in art school and a passion for understanding human behaviour, my journey has been shaped by creativity, adaptability, and problem-solving.

My training in art school laid the foundation for my design philosophy, teaching me how to combine aesthetics with purpose. I learned early on that good design isn’t just about making things look good; it’s about creating solutions to problems, making interactions intuitive, and enhancing the user’s experience. Art school also nurtured my problem-solving skills, which are essential in user research, where every project requires innovative thinking and a deep understanding of the user’s needs.

Living in four different countries has further refined my adaptability, a key trait in UX design. Each cultural shift exposed me to new ways of thinking, communicating and improved my ability to craft narratives that connect with audiences on a deeper level—skills that are directly applicable to UX design, where the goal is to create meaningful interactions and build trust with users.

With a strong interest in psychology, I’m particularly drawn to how users think, feel, and behave when interacting with technology. Understanding psychological principles allows me to design experiences that are not only functional but also emotionally engaging, helping users feel understood and valued. Whether it’s simplifying a complex process or designing for accessibility, I believe that good UX design can solve real-world problems, making digital spaces more intuitive, inclusive, and impactful.
